Blue Planet Design

Blue Planet Design, the Centurion-based advertising agency, has landed the above-the-line account for the Dros restaurant chain.

In addition, the agency has won the above-the-line account for Petrow Foods, an international blending and milling company that specialises in spices and sauces in their raw form for the food industry.

The Dros campaign account, which encompasses creative concept, production and media buying. The concept is composed of stills, and advertises discounted offers on oxtail soup, a hake pan special, a burger grill special and a pensioners’ special.

The campaign consists of eight 15-second television commercials and a 30-second radio commercial, in both English and Afrikaans. The television commercials are being broadcast throughout May, June and July on kykNet, BBC Lifestyle and M-Net.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have won the Dros campaign account. Along with the Petrow account, it signals a definite move on our part into above-the-line advertising campaigns, and augurs well for future business for our company,” says Blue Planet Design MD Bonnie de Klerk.

And Dros is more than happy with the service it has received from Blue Planet Design. Says Dros marketing manager Patse Jordaan: “They’re wonderful! They’ve done a great job on our campaign, and we look forward to furthering our relationship with Blue Planet.”

For Petrow Foods, Blue Planet has been commissioned to produce a new corporate identity, including a logo, advertisement, website and other collaterals. In addition, it is currently devising a marketing campaign for Petrow Foods.

“Our business has gone through several changes in recent times, which need to be reflected in our new corporate identity and approaches to the market. I’m very pleased with the work done so far by Blue Planet Design, and I’m excited to see the eventual results of this process,” says Petrow Foods marketing and procurements director Wilmé Nel.

De Klerk avers that a strong team and open, delivery-focused client relationships are critical elements to Blue Planet Design’s success.

“I feel that the team I have on board is strong and competent and we deliver excellent, efficient as well as effective service.  Going the extra mile in terms of constant communication with clients, and under-promising and over-delivering has made a big difference to us as a boutique agency.  I believe in transparency, fair pricing and strong client relationships,” she says.

“In whatever we do, be it branding, creative solutions or advertising, we strive to create a unique, holistic and sustainable solution to each client’s specific needs and requirements – one that will assist that client to stand out from the crowd and effectively reach its target audience.

“Blue Planet Design prides itself on the personal touch and focus that a small agency can give its clients. And we are determined to never lose these qualities – no matter how much our business grows.”
