New Look for NXT\ SMS

When it comes to mobile messaging, NXT\ Digital Innovation understands that the very familiar SMS is still king. Despite the rapid growth of other mobile communications channels such as mobile email, mobile web applications, multimedia messaging (MMS) and mobile social networking, including Facebook and Twitter, consumers still love to send and receive an SMS. Affordable and easy to use, SMS remains the most direct way of sharing information in South Africa today. With an estimated 47.8 million cell phone subscribers in a population of 51 million, marketing opportunities via SMS in South Africa are endless – provided that marketers comply with the Wireless Application Service Provider Associations (WASPA) code of conduct and advertising guidelines.
 
With this in mind, NXT\ has announced the launch of its newly revamped NXT\SMS.com bulk SMS portal, which features improved navigation, reporting, managing of recipient address books, sending of SMS messages, managing of replies and several new bulk SMS applications. The new portal will continue to function as a central messaging hub that allows users to create customised two-way communication with their customers/clients/consumers via a bulk SMS service. What really sets this platform apart is that it allows users to customise messages for individual recipients – but still distribute them as part of a bulk SMS.
 
Enhancements to the online platform include the One to Many application which follows the same concept as he broadcast messages found in BlackBerry Messenger. Not every user has constant access to the internet, but with a cell phone in hand, every user has access to SMS. One to Many therefore allows a user to send bulk SMS’s directly from his/her phone to a selected group of recipients, without having to log onto their online user profile. Not only does this service offer incredible flexibility to users on the go, it also ensures control over the right message being sent to the right group of recipients.
 
Further enhancements include the launch of the Email to SMS service, which gives users the option of creating and personalising a recipient address book and message in an excel spreadsheet. The information from the spreadsheet is then easily imported to the SMS platform – allowing for immediate message distribution to the customised recipient list. With unlimited access to the platform, users can distribute important customer notifications and personalised reminders at anytime of the day.
 
With now set up charges or monthly subscription fees, NXT\SMS is the most user-friendly and competitive bulk SMS service in the market today, and setting up a user profile is effortless in just three simple steps:
 
Step 1: Register with NXT\SMS
Complete the online registration form and wait to receive a confirmation email with an allocated username and password
 
Step 2: Buy and load credits
Select the required amount of credits and purchase these via an EFT payment. One credit = 21 cents (ex VAT), and one credit is the equivalent of one SMS of 160 characters
 
Step 3: Start sending SMS messages
Once payment is received, the selected credits are immediately made available to the user
