As a partner to South Africa’s marketing and advertising sector, the AAA School of Advertising offers world-class education and training to students wanting to enter the marketing, communications and business profession. AAA School of Advertising has partnered with digital guru Andrea Mitchell to bring to market a Digital Bootcamp.
 
Taking place in May this year, the Digital Bootcamp is presented by Andrea and aimto provide an up-to-date understanding of the digital environment and to equip delegates with hands-on digital marketing and advertising skillsBeyond offering the course to students only, AAA has opened the workshop to individuals from all facets of the advertising and media world.
 
Anthea Whitehead, Marketing Faculty Head of AAA comments, “AAA acknowledges the shortage of digital skills in the industry and has hence teamed up with Andrea Mitchell to bridge the gap. This bootcamp is a must and will be presented over two morning sessions”.

The  Tuesday Morning Session covers topics including defining digital strategy, the difference between digital advertising and digital marketing, bought versus earned and owned digital channels, display:search and social (desktop and mobile).
 
This Digital Bootcamp session takes place at the AAA School of Advertising in Cape Town on15 May 2012 from 8:30am – 1pm. The cost to attend is R500 per person.
The Thursday  Morning Session explores display advertising banners, newsletters, sponsorships, promotional mailers, SEM and SEO - Search Engine Marketing versus Search Engine Optimisation, social media, ORM (Online Reputation Management) and measurement - how to track and measure digital marketing and advertising.
 
This session takes place at the AAA School of Advertising in Cape Town on 17 May 2012 from 8:30am – 1pm. The cost to attend is R500 per person.
Digital Bootcamp lecturer Andrea Mitchell is the founder of digital marketing agency DigiVOX which has been listed in Jeremy Maggs’ The Annual in the Top 10 New Media Players category. DigiVOX has been nominated one of three finalists for Greatest Individual Contribution for The Bookmarks awards as well as being a judge for the DMMA/Creative Circle Ad of the Month Awards. Andrea also served on the DMMA Executive Committee as Head of Research in 2011, and was responsible for ground-breaking research into digital advertising in SA.
