To celebrate its 25th anniversary, The Workshop Shopping Centre in Durban and its marketing consultants Primedia Lifestyle gave away 2 500 individual prizes during the centre’s birthday celebrations.
Doug Mayne, Lifestyle’s MD says, “The Workshop’s birthday celebration concept developed by the Primedia Lifestyle team was effective due to its simplicity. A historic centre like The Workshop remains popular because its shoppers have remained extremely loyal over the years, the centre’s tenant mix is varied and The Workshop always has fresh promotions and activations on offer to maintain interest in its offerings.”
The first 2 500 customers spending R150 or more at The Workshop during the birthday month received a competition scratch card, putting them in line to win prizes ranging from electrical appliances to DVD players, home theatre systems, MP3 players, special voucher booklets and one of five family holidays.
The Workshop Shopping Centre, a former train station constructed in 1860, is a historical landmark with all the character and charm of the Colonial era. The centre is an exciting melting pot of African, Indian and European Cultures all mixed into one like only South Africa can, with the benefits of a modern shopping centre. |
