VISA drives home FIFA message

Visa drives home 2010 FIFA World Cup message with latest London cab campaign
By Graffiti

In the final countdown to the world's largest sporting event, FIFA's exclusive Financial Services Partner, Visa, has recently rebranded all 12 of its London Taxi Cabs with its latest 2010 FIFA World Cup™ branding. The new creative execution is the second in Visa's 2010 FIFA World Cup™ “Go Fans” advertising campaign, which also includes extensive branding at key international transit hubs in South Africa, commuter buses and other outdoor media.

Conceptualised by TBWA Hunt Lascaris and implemented by vehicle branding specialists Graffiti, the new creative installation features the faces of football fans superimposed upon a colourful background of the various flags of the participating 2010 FIFA World Cup™ countries. The bold “Go Fans” message is once again emblazoned upon either side of the vehicle.

Comments Visa Marketing Manager Nadine Mouton, “The ‘Go Fans' campaign has been very successful in highlighting our 2010 FIFA World Cup™ marketing concept that, whatever it is that fuels and enriches your soccer experience, your Visa card provides the access. The latest creative update continues to drive home this message, whilst also keeping the local brand aligned with Visa's global look of football for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™”

The latest rebranding is Visa's fourth creative execution for the London Cabs, having effectively utilised the medium since 2007. In addition to the exterior branding of the vehicles, Visa has also chosen to update the branding on the interior flip seats with the new “Go Fans” creative.

Graffiti Director, Natalie Cloete adds, “Visa has really succeeded in maximising the versatility of the London Cab medium. By regularly updating the creative, they ensure that their communication remains fresh and impactful. The frequency and ease with which they have implemented their various campaigns attests to their understanding of the medium and how it works best.”
